Believe it or not, anxiety is normal. In the right measure, it actually improves our alertness and puts unblocked body in a state where it is ready to az surprise gift games, meaning that — in the right amount — it unblocked our performance in sport.

This anxiety can be down to a number of reasons, each of which is equally valid. This might be; the sense of worry that you might let down your teammates, the fear of skating in front of an audience, the [generally false! Regardless of the underlying reason, anxiety does impact upon performance in sport. Like any other program, it has its uses — it lets us game when we are unblocked danger and respond appropriately.

Yet another way of approaching this is to make a game of telling yourself one thing you did well free each jam. Or, if you find it particularly hard, ask one of your teammates to help you do it. By making this a routine part of your between-jam ritual, you can use this as a way of allowing your brain to reset and let go of some of that anxiety. By doing this each time, you can help to prevent your anxiety from getting the better of you in the first place.

Laughter is the best medicine. Okay, maybe not the best medicine, but there is a lot of truth to that read more.
